Nobody publishes Facebook advert costs for Namibia. From published 2026 benchmarks, N$1,000 of advertising should show your adverts roughly 3,700 to 20,000 times and bring about 60 to 340 clicks, which is N$2.91 to N$15.65 a click. The real figure for your business comes from a two-week test, not from a table.
Why there is no price list
Facebook and Instagram adverts are sold by auction. Every time a person opens the app, advertisers who want to reach that person compete, and the price moves with the competition. So the cost depends on who you want to reach, where, at what time of year, and how good your advert is. Two businesses in the same town can pay very different amounts.
The published figures
Two measures are used. CPM is the cost of showing adverts 1,000 times. CPC is the cost of one click.
| Figure | Value | Where it is from |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per 1,000 views, South Africa | US$2.99 | Lebesgue, 2026 ecommerce benchmark |
| Cost per 1,000 views, United States | US$16.08 | Lebesgue, 2026 ecommerce benchmark |
| Share of views that become clicks, traffic adverts | 1.71% | WordStream, US campaigns, April 2024 to June 2025 |
| Average cost per click, traffic adverts, United States | US$0.70 | WordStream, same study |
| Exchange rate | N$16.64 to US$1 | Mid-market rate, 5 October 2026 |
Turning that into Namibian dollars
Take N$1,000 of advertising. At N$16.64 to the US dollar, that is about US$60.
- If adverts cost what they cost in South Africa, US$60 buys about 20,000 views. At a 1.71% click rate, that is about 340 clicks, or N$2.91 a click.
- If they cost what they cost in the United States, the same money buys about 3,700 views and 60 clicks, or N$15.65 a click.
Namibia is likely to sit nearer the South African end than the American one, because fewer advertisers compete here. We do not claim that as a fact, because there is no published figure to support it. That is why the planner on this site shows a range.
How many people can be reached
| Platform | Users in Namibia | Share of the population |
|---|---|---|
| 1,130,100 | 37% | |
| Messenger | 863,800 | 28.3% |
| 566,900 | 18.5% | |
| 565,800 | 18.5% |
What pushes your cost up or down
- The audience. A narrow, valuable audience costs more to reach than a broad one.
- The goal. Asking for messages or sales costs more per result than asking for views, because fewer people do it.
- The advert. An advert people respond to is shown more cheaply. A poor one costs more for the same space.
- The season. Prices rise when many advertisers compete, for example before the festive season.
- The daily amount. Too little each day and the platform never gathers enough results to improve.
How to find your own cost
- Run one advert with one goal for two weeks.
- At the end, read Amount spent, Reach, Link clicks and Results.
- Divide the amount spent by the results. That is your cost per enquiry.
- Plan the next month from that number, not from a benchmark.

What the advert price does not include
The cost above is only what the platform charges. Somebody also has to plan the campaign, make the adverts, set up tracking and read the results. Whether you do that yourself or pay for it, it is part of the real cost. How we split a budget.
