ProblemSocial media
Why do our posts get likes but no customers?
A like costs a person nothing. An enquiry needs a reason and an easy way to ask. Most pages that get no customers are missing one of the two.
Posts bring no customers for four common reasons: they reach only people who already follow you, they do not ask the reader to do anything, the page makes it hard to enquire, or the posts are about the business and not about what the customer wants. Check who your posts reach, add one clear instruction to every post, and make WhatsApp one tap away.
What you see, and what it usually means
| What you see | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| The same people like every post | Posts are reaching your existing circle and nobody new. |
| Posts get likes and no comments or messages | Nothing in the post asks the reader to act. |
| People comment “price?” or “how much?” | They are interested, and the post left out what they needed. |
| Reach dropped although you post more | Ordinary posts from business pages are shown to few followers. |
| Enquiries come, then go quiet | The reply was slow, or the price came without a reason to buy. |
What you can do yourself
These cost nothing but time.
Look at reach, not likes
Open the page's Insights, or Meta Business Suite. Compare how many people each post reached with how many follow the page.
Read your last ten posts as a stranger
Does each one say what is offered, to whom, and what to do next? Count the ones that only say “good morning” or show a logo.
Put one instruction in every post
“Send us a WhatsApp on 081…”, “Book for Saturday”, “Order before Friday”. One action, not three.
Add the price or a starting price
Posts that hide the price collect “how much?” and lose the people who did not ask.
Test the path yourself
From a different phone, tap from a post to a chat. Count the taps. Fix anything over two.
Time your replies
Check how long enquiries waited last week. An answer within the hour wins far more often than one the next day.
- Reach stays in the low hundreds whatever you post.
- You need people who have never heard of you.
- Nobody in the business has time to plan and make the posts.
What we would do
We read the page's own numbers, rebuild the posting plan around what you sell, and put a small advertising budget behind the posts that earn it, so they reach people beyond your followers. Reports count enquiries, not likes.
Paid campaigns are planned from your budget, from N$1,499.99. You get a written plan before you pay, and the budget planner shows how any amount is divided. Managing the page itself is quoted by posts per week.
Common questions
How many followers do we need before it works?
Followers matter less than who they are. A page with 300 local customers can outsell a page with 10,000 followers who will never buy.
Should we buy followers?
No. Bought followers do not buy anything, and they teach the platform to show your posts to the wrong people. We will not do it.
Is Facebook still worth it?
In Namibia, Facebook has about 1.13 million users, roughly twice as many as Instagram (NapoleonCat, September 2026). For most local businesses it is still where customers are.
Tell us your budget. We will send back a plan.
Say what you are marketing, who you want to reach and what you can spend. You get a written plan with the channels, the duration and a traffic target before you pay anything.
